Reminiscing about the time I met the Game of Thrones cast.
That was a very good day.
Oh, man. How cute is Gemma in this pic? Love her.
THIGHS. … Ben’s, not Gemma’s. Not that I’m saying there’s anything wrong with her thighs. I’m just saying I like Ben’s better. That’s all.
I’m perfectly happy with Gemma’s, too. ;)
Drool city …
Meeting Finn Jones & Gethin Anthony …(multiple times)
So, today I met Finn Jones and Gethin Anthony and other GOT cast members with my darling angel, Rachel.
This account is just the best. I was lucky enough to meet Finn-the-excitable-puppy at Collectormania, but I’m dying to meet Gethin someday, too.
Also sad I didn’t get to meet Gemma when we were in London—should’ve brought something for her to sign post-OMTG.
Egg and Spoon race. Who will win?
Oh, how I wish I could see this one last time. Sigh …
In case you didn’t see this go across Twitter:
A hilarious little backstage moment from OMTG—with a little Ben cameo at the end.
I totally just had the BEST idea …
So, my totally wild speculation about Andrew taking over part of the OMTG run from the guy who’s currently playing Alan …
Well, add to that one more thing: Gemma might have to take some time off to go do GoT filming. (Technically, Asha/Yara and Theon aren’t in the next installment of the books, but stuff is still happening with them off-page in the story timeline, so they might bring them both in for character-continuity’s sake.) If that does happen, what if her role was taken over by Vicki (Ben’s fiancée)?
For those unfamiliar: In the OMTG plot, Rachel and Stanley (Gemma and Ben) are a couple, as are Pauline and Alan (Hannah and Daniel.) So if those two switches were made, the two real-life couples would be playing couples in the show. And how cool would that be?
OK, so yes, it’s cheesy. But honestly, Andrew would be perfect for Alan—which is a very over-the-top, dorktastic role—and Vicki definitely has the right kind of vaguely androgynous look to pull off Rachel.
… I really should’ve seen the show one more time before I left London. ;)
In case you needed a reason to get your ass to London to see One Man Two Guvnors: It features Ben Mansfield running around in his underpants. And being very, very, very fucking funny. If all you know of him is him being all Mr. Brash Badass, you’re in for a major treat. He has utterly fantastic comic timing, and his eyebrows should get their own credit in the program.
Was lucky enough to catch him briefly for an autograph after the show. He’s also a total sweetie in person, too. Gentle and soft-spoken and looks oh so adorable in glasses. And not quite as tall as you might think—he’s just usually surrounded with shorties. :)
Hannah was also adorable, as was Gemma. Definitely a great show—and I’m totally not a fan of slapstick otherwise.
